Legend by Marie Lu (Legend, #1)

YOUNG ADULT · DYSTOPIAN

About

The main disappointment with the book was that June and Day should have been seventeen years old, not fifteen. They acted much older, and content would have made more sense for them to be older. The plot twists were also pretty predictable if you’ve read enough dystopian novels, but the story was intriguing and a quick read.

It’s a great dystopian novel with solid themes and awesome writing, perfect for fans of Renegades by Marissa Meyer or The Scourge by Jennifer A. Nielsen.

From different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths...until June’s brother is murdered, and Day becomes the prime suspect. In a shocking turn of events, the two uncover what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths to which their country will go to keep its secrets.
